About Us
The Jauron Family Foundation, Inc. strengthens communities by enhancing the lives of its community members. The foundation supports innovative programs and initiatives that bring attention and positive change to the areas of physical and mental health and wellness, and diversity and inclusion. Such programs will reach people in schools, community-based spaces and facilities, and will lead to better educational, employment, and social opportunities for all members of the community.
The Jauron Family Foundation’s mission is inspired by both Bob and Kay Jauron. Robert “Bob” Jauron served in the Army during World War II before embarking on a 45 year long teaching and coaching career. Bob was a tough guy with a big heart. He and Katherine “Kay” Jauron moved to the Lynn/Swampscott area in the late 1960s. Their five children attended schools in both Lynn and Swampscott. After retiring from coaching football Bob coached the high school golf team for many years. Kay was a secretary for Swampscott Public schools, loved to sing and play the piano, was an avid volunteer and member of various community organizations.
Bob and Kay Jauron were passionate about the important roles education and athletics play in the lives of their children and the community. The Jauron Family Foundation will support innovative programs and initiatives that bring positive change to communities, just like Bob and Kay did.
